Utilized for a wide range of high-temperature thermal processes, box furnaces and ovens feature a vertical lift door that accepts items of various sizes. Box furnaces and ovens are specifically manufactured to provide heat treating, annealing, preheating, tempering, curing, calcining, stress-relieving, and other high-temperature processes.

With extensive engineering expertise and more than 50 years of design and manufacturing experience, Kleenair Products Co. has what it takes to deliver the perfect custom box furnace based on your application’s exact specification requirements.

To learn more about our box oven and furnace custom options, get in touch with our sales team or give us a call at 800-275-5152 and we will gladly answer your specific questions. Kleenair Products Co. is your trusted designer and manufacturer of state-of-the-art box furnace and oven technologies.

State-of-the-Art Box Furnaces & Box Ovens

Our box furnaces and box ovens (the terms can be used interchangeably) feature vertical-lift overhead doors for fast and easy access from one or both ends of the furnace. Box ovens offer versatility for processing parts in a wide range of shapes and sizes. An advanced control system located on the furnace itself gives you an easy-to-use HMI for precise operation. Controls can be connected to your facility’s computer network for remote access.

  • Kleenair manufactures the industry’s best door seals, door hinges, and door actuators
  • Natural gas or electric heat
  • Single or double overhead lift doors (swinging doors available upon request)
  • Advanced controls/HMIs for easy, reliable operation
  • Remote control capable
  • Controls provide complete NADCAP reports
  • Built to last with heavy duty construction
  • Meet NFPA 86 and OSHA requirements

Processes & Materials for Custom Box Furnaces

Kleenair’s custom box furnaces are capable of temperatures up to 2,250°F (1,232°C), with Class 1 through Class 5 temperature uniformity, as your processes require. This makes them ideal for a variety of applications, including:

  • Aluminum Aging- Time-temperature-dependent change in the properties of certain alloys and increases the hardness of the alloy
  • Annealing- Heat treatment that alters the physical and sometimes chemical properties of a material to increase its ductility and reduce its hardness, making it more workable.
  • Forging- Manufacturing process involving the shaping of metal using localized compressive forces
  • Heat Treating- Process of heating metal without letting it reach its molten, or melting, stage, and then cooling the metal in a controlled way to desired mechanical properties
  • Investment Cast Wax Burnout- Process invests (surrounds) the pattern with refractory material to make a mold, and a molten substance is cast into the mold.
  • Normalizing- Heating a material to an elevated temperature and then allowing it to cool back to room temperature
  • Stress Relief- Treatment of a metal or alloy by heating to a predetermined temperature below its lower transformation temperature followed by cooling in air
  • Titanium Reduction- Made by the reduction the volatile tetrachloride by magnesium by the process of reducing magnesium chloride to magnesium metal and then reduction of the metal compound.
  • Zirconium Reduction- Zirconium reduction is related to the titanium reduction process.
